MKG stands for Mission Kedi Ganapati — a sacred awakening dedicated to the revival of Sanatan Dharma across the world.
MKG Digital University was born from the unusual and deeply personal journey of Kedi Ganapati — a journey of job-hopping, bike riding, spiritual seeking, wandering, relationships, struggle, failure, blunders, self-discovery, and inner awakening.
I was Kiran Khot until 2016. At that time, I was already researching Dharma and economics and wanted to write new scriptures covering different subjects of Sanatan Dharma, but I did not have the required knowledge. I was not a sadhu. To research human sexuality, I became a freelance massage therapist and started my own erotic massage business, Lickspa.
I wanted to create a website for Lickspa but could not find a web designer willing to build it, so I started learning website designing myself. Then I thought: if I could create a website for my own business, I could create an educational website too. That thought eventually led to an idea — a website dedicated to Sanatan Dharma, where people from around the world could come to one platform to learn about its vast body of knowledge.
That idea also introduced me to my own identity and life goal. I realised that my name should not be Kiran; I should be Kedi. In 2017, I officially changed my name from Kiran to Kedi through the Gazette and took the first step toward MKG.
From 2016 to 2026, I started deeply learning about Sanatan Dharma, and the learning process is still continuing. I became a Vaishnav sanyasi, explored Tantra and the Aghori path, studied Jyotish, and became a devotee of Parmeshwar Ganapati.
I travelled across India on my bike to research Sanatan Dharma because I could afford mainly the petrol cost. I did not have money to buy scriptures, so I searched for free PDFs online and studied them. During my travels, I slept at petrol pumps and often ate one cheap roadside meal a day. I was not getting any single penny from home, and I had to do many freelance jobs to earn money for research and home expenses.
I wanted to understand Sanatan Dharma through study, research, and practical experience before writing about it. I had no team and no sponsor. I continued learning, travelling, researching, experiencing, and writing until I felt I was ready to write about Sanatan Dharma.
As the mission grew, my own identity gradually became secondary; the mission of creating a university for Sanatan Dharma became the priority — and Mission Kedi Ganapati was born.
In April 2020, I started writing my book. It took five years to complete, and in 2025 the book was published by Motilal Banarsidass. The completion and publication of the book became an important step toward creating MKG Digital University.
In 2025, I created a testing website for the Digital University and named it KediGanapati.com. The first policy of the university was that all content would be written only by me, Kedi Ganapati, after studying and researching the subject myself and gaining practical experience wherever possible.
I designed and developed the WordPress website myself, but WordPress hosting required renewal every year. In 2025, I lost all my money and had to close my ICICI bank account due to insufficient funds, so I could not afford paid hosting. In 2026, I learned how to build a website using GitHub. I purchased the official domain mkgdigitaluniversity.com, built the university website using Hugo, and pushed it to GitHub Pages.
Before making MKG Digital University live, I took the old content from my books and blog and rewrote it in research-paper style. I published 24 preprint research papers on Zenodo. Today, MKG Digital University has 24 research papers, 6 faculties, 24 subjects, and more than 100 articles.
The 24 subjects have been divided into 64 categories, and more than 1,000 articles are still to be written. The existing work is only the beginning of the larger content planned for MKG Digital University.
MKG Digital University presents existing scriptures of Sanatan Dharma as well as new scriptures of Sanatan Dharma, from the original perspective of Kedi Ganapati. It is a commitment to revive the eternal light of Sanatan Dharma in its purest and most original form — a journey of spiritual renaissance, an effort to restore forgotten wisdom, awaken dormant consciousness, and reconnect humanity with its eternal roots.
From 2016 to 2026, what started as an idea for a Sanatan Dharma website became MKG Digital University of Sanatan Dharma. I became knowledgeable in Sanatan Dharma, spirituality, sociology, sexology, astrology, and psychology, but I am still a student of mathematics, architecture, physics, astronomy, and Ayurveda. The learning process is still continuing, and the work of building the university is still continuing.
Re-establish Sanatan Dharma across the world and help humanity rediscover its eternal, universal knowledge and the true existence of human beings.
MKG Digital University has three central missions:
Revives the original principles of Sanatan Dharma
Unifies all Sanatan knowledge — scriptures, philosophy, science, and society — onto one free platform
Makes this knowledge accessible to every seeker, in every language, across the world
MKG Digital University exists for several simple reasons:
MKG Digital University of Sanatan Dharma
Registered under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME)
Udyam Registration Number: UDYAM-MH-33-0781285
MSME registration identifies the enterprise under the applicable registration framework. It does not by itself constitute academic recognition, university status, or UGC approval.
MKG Digital University of Sanatan Dharma is currently an independent and developing digital learning platform.
Its syllabus, courses, research material, and learning resources are still under development.
At present:
The present focus is on developing and publishing learning material, research, and a structured syllabus.
Any future academic recognition, examination system, or certification process will be pursued only in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and approval requirements.
Research & Editorial: All content is written solely by founder Kedi Ganapati — his independent research and evolving understanding. Proofreading may involve AI or professional proofreaders, but the research, writing, and interpretation remain entirely his own.
Originality & Attribution: Scriptural quotations appear alongside original work. Sources are credited wherever identified. MKG does not tolerate plagiarism or misrepresentation of others’ work as one’s own.
Knowledge Evolution: Nothing here is final. As research and clarity grow, earlier content may be revised or re-expressed. A revised quotation usually means better words — not a different truth.
Multi Language: No language is superior — truth speaks in many tongues. Kedi Ganapati’s own journey began in Marathi. Your language isn’t a barrier. It’s your bridge to wisdom. That’s why MKG creates content in every language possible.
While writing MKG content, reduced ego and built swag. After reading MKG content, your ego may also reduce and your swag may increase.
Ego: “I did it, so give me respect.”
Swag: “I did it. Now do it better if you can.”
The purpose is not arrogance.
The purpose is confidence, courage, originality, and the willingness to challenge yourself.
This project began as an independent personal mission — carried forward by the time, energy, earnings, and dedication of its founder alone.
MKG Digital University offers free digital learning to everyone. But what you read here isn’t just content — it’s the result of years of reading, observation, research, personal experience, experimentation, and failure.
The learning behind this work spans nearly 18–20 years. Since the mission formally began in 2016, a significant share of the founder’s personal earnings has gone into research, writing, publishing, and building this platform.
As of June 2026, MKG Digital University has run without funding from family, society, or any external institution — sustained entirely through the personal work and freelance efforts of its founder, Kedi Ganapati.
Every article you read represents time, energy, experience, and another step toward keeping this mission alive.
MKG Digital University is still under construction.
The research is incomplete.
The syllabus is evolving.
The ideas will continue to grow.
The writing will continue to improve.
The mission is not finished.
It has only begun.
